It was a soggy day for our first jumper show but it was a fun success. We had wonderful time jumping the new jumps and cheering each other on. W. Hesser won the raffle for the set of standards, and my apologies for not posting this sooner but I guess the flu caught up with me the day after the show.
Tom Lindamood did an awesome job officiating, the electric eye timers were such a blessing. We filled all of the divisions including Schooling and Modified Jumpers. It was exciting to have the jumps cranked up and watching them perform over the bigger fences.
The food was great, glad to keep the concession stand going, please make sure you visit them at the shows, it is difficult to arrange for a concession stand and to keep them in business, they need business!
The photographer from Blackstone Photography was catching all of your special moments. Please take the time to check out your action photographs at their website on line. www.blackstonephotographyonline.com
We look forward to offering the pre-registration all season, please send them in early, there is no penalty for not coming if you pre-register and something comes up. It makes it easier to process papers the am of the show if we are not overwhelmed in registration. Thanks again for the participation of riders and parents, looking forward to an exciting summer!

We are excited to be posting our new dates for the show season of 2012. We will be hosting 3 jumper and 3 hunter shows initially, we may add some more shows to our season as weather and demand permits. We are excited to be adding dedicated jumper shows. We are extending the ring 50 additional feet which will put the ring to almost 300' in length. We will be providing electric timers and newly designed jumper courses by our favorite clinician Bart Fillmore.
As usual, water is available on the grounds. We will have food and beverages provided as well. Judges to be soon posted. Always check the website or call me in the event of inclement weather.
Thanks,
Lynn Sadler
INTENSE FLAT AND JUMPING CLINICS WITH BART FILLMORE....
Starting 6/20/11, we began the first of our series of lesson style clinics at Hollow Oak Farm with Bart Fillmore. Bart has been a friend and admired equestrian for many years. He is bringing his hunter and jumper talents to the farm here in Nokesville. Bart has ridden with national top equestrian Tom Hardy, who commented about how he was privileged to work with Bart and raved about his talent with young horses. He commented on his natural feel for a horse and Bart's ability to help the animals relax and stretch to obtain the most natural position of balance. Bart has competed in all levels of hunters and all level jumpers in the USEF. Bart has participated in the Virginia State Games taking the blue in the Ford and Volvo Jumper Classics. Bart has been judged by George Morris with comments regarding his riding talent and strong seat.
Bart has brilliant talent for the nervous horses or when you have hit a plateau and your horse does not seem to be advancing well, just a few short observations and Bart can have you moving on a new path to success. Bart's premier quality is his ability to reach the souls of the animals he is riding. He has an ability to perform horse whispering like I have never witnesses. One of the ways Bart conveys trust and establishes a basline relationship with his animals is through balance and stretching. The baseline for your equine to become fabulous is grounded in the starting product. Once the basics are obtained, anything is possible!
Are you tired of instructions that don't seem to be working and implementing the lesson seems impossible??? Bart is not a "rail-standing" instructor, he does not expect you to perform things he is not capable himself of doing himself... if you are having difficulties obtaining goals with your horse, Bart will get on your horse and show you how to accomplish the task he is requesting.
Bart has flexibility to work with all skill levels of riding. The days of the week will be changing but we are scheduling weekly clinics at present, please email me, check the website or follow us on Facebook to reserve a spot in the program. We are trying to keep slots of 2 riders to optimize your riding time. Private lessons are also available. Ring fee is $10.00 per hour per horse. Release forms must be signed prior to entering for your clinic time.
